Jacob’s has launched a new range of flavoured crackers to tap into the growing demand for on-the-go snacking.
“Brits are snacking more than ever, creating opportunities for quick, shareable options,” said Asli Akman, Marketing Director at Pladis UK&I. Existing formats, she noted, didn’t suit these evolving habits, presenting “a huge growth opportunity.”
The launch follows several recent additions to Pladis’ McVitie’s line-up, marking Jacob’s latest step in redefining snacking occasions beyond the cheeseboard.
PepsiCo’s Extra Flamin’ Hot
PepsiCo has launched Extra Flamin’ Hot variants across its Doritos, Walkers Max, and Wotsits Crunchy ranges, responding to growing demand for spicier snacks.
“Shoppers want elevated snacking experiences and intense flavours, so we’re turning up the heat,” said Doritos senior marketing manager Rob Pothier.
The move follows a wave of spicy launches from rival crisp brands aiming to drive incremental sales.
Lucozade Blue
Lucozade has revealed a trio of new blue drinks across its Sport, Energy and Alert ranges. Despite being united by their blue colour, however, the three new drinks are different in flavour, with Lucozade inviting shoppers to guess what each variant is in a bid to drive trial.
The sales director at Lucozade's manufacturer, Suntory, Alpesh Mistry said “We have two seconds to convince a shopper to pick up a new brand or product in store, so it has to be really impactful.” The blucozade range really stands out and disrupts the market so this could lead to a boost in sales.
