The Grocer Gold Awards 2021: We Won Exporter of the Year!
We are very proud to announce that we were awarded Exporter of the Year at The Grocer Gold Awards. The annual event, which celebrates and recognises the very best standards in UK grocery retail, took place at the stunning location of the Guildhall in London last week.
This year’s awards highlighted the extraordinary achievements of companies and individuals since the outbreak of coronavirus. In response to the pandemic, we had to rapidly adapt our export business while still delivering a dedicated service to our customers. Receiving one of the UK grocery industry’s top accolades is a great honour and recognises all the hard work that has been put in over the year.
The awards panel of expert judges provided feedback that, “It takes commitment and skill to make a successful foray into a foreign market. For this award, judges were looking for a UK-based retailer, wholesaler or supplier that has most successfully grown its business outside the UK, either through product or sales channel development, or both.”
“Everyone in the business is responsible for this success,” said Akhtar Zahid, Ramsden International’s Managing Director in response to the feedback. “It has taken a huge amount of adaptability and creativity in order to support our customers around the world while also growing as a business, and it is wonderful that our achievements have been recognised externally.”
